I am never telling Victor anything EVER AGAIN.
So, okay, I got to school almost-late this morning, so I went and got a pass just in case, and when I got up to my locker the only people in the halls were the ones working on the doors: Victor, Mariya, some people from other homerooms. Victor gave me this bizarre look when he saw me, but Mariya almost looked like she'd seen a ghost and rushed back into the room -- which wasn't far, since she was about three steps out of it -- and then seven and a half seconds later my homeroom teacher came out into the hall all a-flail.
"Are you okay? What happened? We didn't expect to see you back for weeks!"
And I was just sort standing at my locker, combination half-turned, almost but not entirely sure what was going on, because last night when I was talking to Victor on AIM last night I got a vague impression of what was going on, but ... nothing that would warrant something like that, really.
(Note: I told him a number of different things. Monday it was that I'd been abducted by aliens with cable internet and heated seats. Tuesday it was that I'd seen both my lungs and they were a lovely shade of pink. Wednesday it was that I'd seen my appendix, and it was purple!
He really ought to know better, I think.)
There was a good deal more flailing as I put my stuff away and got my books for AP Bio from my locker, the gist of which was that apparently Victor told Mariya that I'd seen my appendix; she, taking that to mean that I'd had it out, told our homeroom teacher, who got up in front of the class and started talking about it -- how they probably wouldn't see me for a while, that she was going to try and ask me if I could get the doctor to let me have my appendix so I could bring it into school, something Pataki did recently (he actually did get his appendix taken out).
Found out later, actually, that she had started passing around a card right when I got in, only Mariya went into the room and was like "... uh, she's right out in the hall."
Which puts an end to that! Although Scott informed me that he was going to write something about purple space monkeys, because he knew I'd throw up if he actually wrote "get well soon", and LaTrice told me she was going to say that she hoped my keychain Klingon would make me feel better and then pretend the rest of her message was in Klingon.
And then between third and fourth period I ran into my guidance counselor, who said "Oh, how're you doing? How's your appendix?"
NEVER TELLING HIM ANYTHING EVER AGAIN.
