Fine, okay, I suppose I can accept Matt Frewer as Trashcan Man (bumpty-bumpty-bump) but I keep looking at the rest of the cast and going "... no. No. No. No."

But, okay, that's not what the point is. The point is! Please did someone else watch the pilot of Eureka last night? I need someone to spaz at.

at least the first hour. the second hour was limited to what i could see in tiny breaks while trying to find a bus schedule online.

Youuuuu should totally see if you can watch the second half more completely. It is amazing and you would totally love it and wow, I just said totally twice. Uh.

Duuuuude you should so watch the whole thing, if you can. It is amazing and has tachyons and a space shuttle engineer and a chef who can make ANYTHING and just. So much awesome.

Trashcan Man! From The Stand! XD

Is this about the thing they did in the 90s? Because I'm always thinking I should rent it, but then I realize that I probably couldn't deal with Molly Ringwald in it. Not that I have anything against Molly Ringwald, I just can't make the mental jump from Pretty in Pink to Stephen King. ;)

Yeah, he's in a new show on the SciFi channel, and when my dad was watching it he was like ":O! Trashcan Man! What's he doing here?"

I've never actually seen it, either, but that's because most adaptations of Stephen King things make me twitch (or worse; I walked out of Secret Window practically crying I was so angry) and besides that the casting for the most part just makes me very confused.

I agree with you on the King adaptations, the main exception being Shawshank Redemption, which was incredible in both forms.

I couldn't watch Secret Window. I got wind of how bad it was, and it would have broken my heart. On one hand, we have the bungling of one of my favorite King stories, and on the other, Johnny Depp. It would have torn my soul. So I stayed home and watched Pirates of the Caribbean instead. ;D

Have you heard about the Dark Tower graphic novels? Any thoughts?

Actually I was slightly optimistic, although I don't actually remember why. Possibly it was that hey, it was Johnny Depp in a Stephen King thing! Also possibly that the casting of John Shooter was ... close to perfect. Although I cannot say anything else in the movie was. (I still do not understand how Mort dying turns into Mort killing his ex-wife and her husband and then getting braces.) Probably I would've been better off watching Pirates, yeah.

I've heard about them, but I don't really know enough about them to say anything. Sadly. D:
