I'd forgotten how slow these books started. I like Renie and !Xabbu, yes, and I vaguely remember liking Christabel and feeling absolutely awful for Orlando, poor boo, but nothing is happening yet except for Stephen having Fallen Ill. Which happened to Soki, too, and what kind of name is Soki anyway?

And anyway it's worse because the last time I read them was a while ago, so what I remember is so fragmented that it's confusing me more than it's helping me. Oh, she's a girl, right? or ooh, he's really trapped in the net, or this guy who I haven't actually run into yet is the son of some ... dude ...

Not helping.

Omg. I love those books and I totally need to reread them as soon as I have the time. Renie and !Xabbu were my non-sexual OTP until they had sex and I went GLEE because I had been hoping for that since the first book.

The new Numb3rs was awesome even though I totally called the bad guy the first time we saw him.

They are awesome. I have only read them once! Because dude, four thousand pages. But oh yes, there is lots of fine, that's all well and good, now go have sex, you two, going on. Except for when !Xabbu is a monkey.

I forgot about the monkey part. Clearly I need to reread. I do remember the strange Wizard of Oz-like part, though.
