I didn't post yesterday because I missed all the good timestamps.

I had a Tim for some of the morning! It was nifty. (I like it when I have a Tim.) But then he was cutting pies, and went to get his ticket, and actually went to do Pi Day Things. Besides cutting pies.

There's only one bit up on the website, but we were actually on the news twice. Or possibly three times? I'm not entirely sure. Either way ON THE NEWS! The cafeterias weren't on the fourth floor, for once, so the crew could actually get their equipment in (which is why it's never happened before).

And then I cut pies for an hour and a half. SO MANY PEOPLE. Although, to be completely honest, a lot were repeats; last I heard Brian had had twelve pieces, I think? Trying to beat his record from last year of sixteen.

That's just too much pie.

I had a piece and a half, by which I mean one piece and some apples left in one of the tins after all the pieces had been cut out. All I wanted was the apples, really, because the crusts were dry.

Most of the pies people brought in were store-bought -- I guess people figured if they were going to spend time making a pie they might as well make one for a contest, and going out and buying a pie is less effort (especially for extra credit, because as we all know the least effort expended for the greatest amount of extra credit is really the best situation) -- which was fine, only we kept getting repeats of the exact same pies. I swear I served the same apple pie twelve times, and the same cherry pie nine.

Then during homeroom, like the oh-so-intelligent person it's obvious I am, I drank almost all of the water in my water bottle (which I'd left on the fourth floor in my locker) and felt sick for a while.

Today was even better, though, since we went and saw a Play. Besides the merits of the play and going to see it and having a Cultural Experience we missed five classes of the day -- I would be happier about this had we not had the Awesome Sub for AP Chem today, but I still missed school and got to go see a play in which all the characters had accents. I'm good.
